While the world debates bringing an international force into Gaza and advancing steps by the Peace Council to reconstruct the Strip, Hamas appears to be digging in and deploying dangerous weapons. Over the weekend, no fewer than four terror kites landed in Israeli territory after being launched by the terror group from Gaza.

As a reminder, the Prime Minister’s Office announced last Thursday that the political echelon did not approve the entry of an international force into Gaza, contrary to reports on the matter. The statement said Israel made clear there would be no reconstruction of any kind in the Strip before Hamas is completely disarmed.

According to the source, the cabinet approved granting immunity to the ISF under the “Immunities for International Organizations” law, with the force operating in full coordination with the IDF in areas beyond the Yellow Line, in territory not under IDF control. It was also determined that any entry of ISF forces will require individual approval from the prime minister, defense minister, and foreign minister, and that Israel will approve which countries can send forces. At this stage, only about 200 representatives from friendly countries are involved, including Uganda and Morocco.
