Police from the Tayibe station and Border Police National Guard fighters discovered explosive materials and four standard IDF grenades during a search of a property in the city. At the end of the operation, two brothers, residents of Tayibe, were arrested and taken to the police station for questioning.
The search was conducted as part of an operational effort to locate combat equipment and explosives suspected of being used by criminal elements in blood feuds and violent incidents. During the extensive search, forces found material suspected to be explosives hidden behind an electrical cabinet.
A police bomb technician called to the scene examined the findings and confirmed they were explosive charges and four standard IDF grenades. The explosives were seized and transferred for further handling and examination by police bomb technicians.
In accordance with the investigation’s needs and findings, police are expected to request the court extend the detention of the two brothers.
