Israir announced today that it received approval from the U.S. Department of Transportation to begin selling tickets for flights to the United States. According to the company, sales are expected to open next week.
The company emphasized that the approval was granted while the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) continues its review and final approval process required for Israir to operate flights to the U.S.
Out of responsibility and caution toward its customers, Israir said it will initially sell tickets for departure dates starting October 19, 2027. However, if the FAA approves the company to operate flights to New York earlier, Israir will move up the launch of the route and ticket sales accordingly.
Israir said the company is in continuous contact with the FAA and is working in full cooperation with the relevant authorities, expecting the approval process to be completed soon.
