An ongoing incident is unfolding near the village of Qusra in Judea and Samaria: In recent days, Israeli pioneers stayed near Arab family homes in the area, establishing a Jewish structure in Area B, which was subsequently declared a closed military zone by security authorities. This morning, senior defense officials arrived to oversee the evacuation of the Israeli residents from the site.
The Central Command chief, the Judea and Samaria Division commander, and the Judea and Samaria Border Police commander arrived Wednesday morning for an inspection tour of Qusra and neighboring outposts. During the visit, commanders spoke with the local Arab family residing at the site, who, according to an IDF spokesperson, clarified that their residence remains connected to electricity and water infrastructure. Meanwhile, Border Police forces operated to dismantle the structure erected near the home and initiated the removal of the Israeli civilians present at the scene. An IDF spokesperson stated that the incident remains active and security forces are maintaining a presence on-site. The IDF noted that “during the tour, commanders addressed with severity the actions carried out by Israeli civilians toward the family and instructed several operational steps moving forward.” Additionally, disciplinary measures were ordered against the military unit documented at the site several days ago.
The events in Qusra are occurring against a backdrop of ongoing friction in the Qusra and Jalud regional sector. Military officials stated that following recent reports of Israeli residents entering local Arab structures and properties in the sector, a closed military zone order was imposed. Concurrently with the enforcement actions in Qusra, Civil Administration inspectors executed extensive enforcement operations against unauthorized construction across northern Samaria. As part of the operation, dozens of structures were demolished in the former communities of Ganim and Kadim, alongside the destruction of a large 850-square-meter facility near Sa-Nur.
