The Houthi terror organization launched another attack on Saudi-backed forces. The assault was carried out using missiles and drones, with no casualties reported so far. Meanwhile, the Human Rights Office in Hodeidah province in western Yemen said in a press release that Houthi militants have carried out the complete evacuation of dozens of homes and villages, converting some of them into sites and camps for the terror organization.
1+The statement also urged the United Nations and human rights and humanitarian organizations to urgently document these violations, apply pressure to protect civilians, and quickly provide emergency aid to displaced families in the areas of food, water, shelter, and medical care.
Human rights organizations have been operating in Yemen for many years, despite severe attacks against them by the terror group. One example came just last month, when Yemen reported that the Houthis hijacked a Red Cross plane that was at Sanaa International Airport.
1+The Red Cross continued its presence in Yemen even after Houthi militants raided their offices in Sanaa in November 2025 and held dozens of employees hostage. The militants confiscated mobile phones and laptops, cut off communication with staff in the office, and after several hours returned the devices and released many of the employees—but not all of them.
