IDF forces located and destroyed an underground tunnel route containing dozens of rockets in the southern Gaza Strip, the IDF Spokesperson stated today (Wednesday).
The operation was conducted as part of clearing terror infrastructure both above and below ground within the “Yellow Line” zone.
The operation was carried out by forces from the Paratroopers Brigade Combat Team operating under the command of the Gaza Division (143). The destruction of the route was executed in cooperation with the division’s engineering forces and the Yahalom special operations unit.
The IDF stated that Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire framework and will continue to act to remove any immediate threat. Among other materials, special body-cam footage from an Oketz unit canine inside the discovered tunnel was released, alongside documentation of its destruction.
