A member of the Board of Peace who spoke with Reuters said that under the implementation plan, “the first weapons to be handed over will be those of the Hamas police forces in the Gaza Strip,” after which the dismantling of heavy weapons will begin.
The source added that “all military activity in Gaza will need to stop,” and clarified: “The demilitarization process will take time.”
