Reserve forces from the 55th Brigade Combat Team, under the command of the 91st Division, are operating in the village of Majdal Zoun in southern Lebanon as part of efforts to remove threats against Israel. During the operation, troops discovered dozens of weapons hidden inside civilian infrastructure throughout the village.
3+Among the weapons found: AK-47 rifles, magazines, ammunition, grenades, explosives, charges, anti-tank missiles, and mortar shells. The forces also destroyed buildings that the IDF says were used by Hezbollah in the area.
The IDF emphasized that operations in the area are aimed at removing threats to Israeli forces and civilians, and that the military will continue to act against Hezbollah’s attempts to use civilian infrastructure for military purposes.
