This week, in precise air strikes carried out by the IDF in the south and north of the Gaza Strip, two key terrorists from the Hamas terror wing were eliminated: Ahmed al-Hasham Mahmoud Loh, the last head of the sniper squad in the Nussirat Battalion who promoted terrorist plots against IDF forces and Israeli civilians, and Mahmoud Ali Mahmoud Tarush, the commander of a platoon that raided Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre.
Our forces attacked in the southern Gaza Strip and eliminated Ahmed al-Hasham Mahmoud Loh, who served as head of the sniper squad in the Nussirat Battalion of the Hamas terrorist organization. The IDF said that the killing of Mahmoud Loh joins a series of killings of leaders of sniper squads in the same battalion.
In another attack that took place in the northern Gaza Strip that week, the terrorist Mahmoud Ali Mahmoud Tarush, a platoon commander in the military wing of the Hamas terrorist organization, who took part in the raid into Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre, was killed.
The IDF noted that throughout the war and recently, the terrorists attempted to carry out terrorist plots against IDF forces and citizens of the State of Israel, posed a direct threat to the forces, and were eliminated in precise airstrikes. IDF forces in the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to act to eliminate any threat.
The IDF’s targeted offensive operations in the Gaza Strip come as part of the ongoing effort by the Southern Command forces to neutralize terrorist infrastructures and eliminate senior Hamas military wing operatives who pose a threat to the security of the state and the forces on the ground. The Nusirat Battalion in the center of the Gaza Strip and other areas in the north and south of the Gaza Strip are under constant surveillance, with the IDF consistently working to thwart terrorist plots and harm terrorists who took an active part in the October 7 attack.
