An explosive drone launched by Hezbollah terrorists struck an IDF engineering vehicle on the Ali Taher ridge in southern Lebanon. The incident occurred overnight, and the terrorist organization’s aircraft caused damage only. An investigation at the scene revealed that the engineering vehicle that was attacked was unmanned, and there were no casualties in the incident.
Israel’s security establishment and the IDF view the explosive drone launch as a violation of the ceasefire agreement by Hezbollah terrorists. In an immediate response to the strike on the ground, Israeli forces fired artillery toward the area in southern Lebanon from which the launch was carried out, to make clear that attacks on Israeli forces will be met with forceful measures.

Discussions in Military Command on Further Response
Alongside the artillery fire carried out on the ground, the IDF is currently discussing ways to respond against the terrorist organization following the violation. Senior commanders make clear that this is a serious incident, and a decision will soon be made on exactly how to respond against Hezbollah terrorists for violating the ceasefire.
