Israeli forces killed Hamam Eid, commander of Hamas’s drone unit in the terror group’s military wing in the central camps, the IDF said. The strike was carried out Saturday in central Gaza.
Eid was responsible for manufacturing drones intended to strike Israeli civilians and IDF forces, according to the military. He previously commanded Hamas’s glider unit in the central camps and was involved in aerial terror operations against Israeli forces.
The IDF said Eid had recently been working to rebuild Hamas’s aerial capabilities in violation of the ceasefire agreement. Southern Command forces remain deployed across the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue operating to remove threats, the military said.
Israeli forces also killed Fares al-Masri last week in northern Gaza. Al-Masri served as a department head in Hamas’s production headquarters. In another strike in the same area, forces killed Muhammad Abu Shakyan, a Nukhba terrorist in the organization.
