An Arab Israeli from Majd al-Krum in northern Israel was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of incitement to terrorism after posting a response to video footage of the Havat Gilad terror attack on his social media account. In the post, the suspect wrote: “We must hunt them like pigs, God curse you so that not a single settler pig remains.”
Police opened an investigation immediately after receiving the report. Following the necessary approvals, the suspect was arrested on suspicion of incitement to racism, direct calls to commit acts of terrorism, and additional offenses.
During a search of the 39-year-old suspect’s home in Majd al-Krum, police seized two loaded M-16 magazines, fireworks, over 100,000 shekels (~$30,000) in cash, and additional evidence. The suspect was brought in for questioning, and per police request, a court extended his detention.
