A heated debate erupted Thursday night on Channel 14’s The Patriots between host Yinon Magal and panelist Guy Maroz over the issue of recognizing a ‘Palestinian’ state as part of a future normalization agreement with Saudi Arabia. Magal took a hard line, arguing that the ‘Palestinians’ real goal isn’t establishing an independent state—it’s eliminating Israel.
Magal pointed to the Gaza disengagement as proof. Despite Israel’s withdrawal, he said, ‘Palestinians’ there kept attacking. “We left the Gaza Strip. Supposedly they have no reason to attack us,” Magal said. “Now, all the money they received—all the billions they got from the ‘Palestinian’ Authority, from Qatar, from everywhere—they invested it all in a project to eliminate the State of Israel.”
Magal made his position crystal clear: “They don’t want a state at all. They don’t want a state. You think they want a state? They don’t want a state. They want your state not to exist. That’s the whole story.” The remarks came during his exchange with Maroz, who presented a different view on the matter.
