38 people were killed in traffic accidents across Israel in June 2026, according to data released today by the Central Bureau of Statistics. During the month, 496 traffic accidents with injuries were recorded, injuring a total of 848 people.
Despite a drop in the number of accidents and total injuries compared to June 2025, the death toll actually rose. In June 2025, 30 people were killed in traffic accidents, compared to 38 in June 2026. The figure also represents an increase compared to the average for June in the years 2022-2024.
The data also shows that 174 people were seriously injured in June, alongside hundreds more with light injuries. Since the start of the year, 216 people have been killed in traffic accidents, a slight decrease from the same period in 2025, when 223 people were killed.
The CBS emphasized that 2026 data is still preliminary and continues to be updated by the Israel Police.
