The renewed barrage comes as Iran continues expanding its attacks beyond Israel and U.S. forces, striking Arab states across the Middle East that maintain close security ties with Washington. Bahrain has become particularly vulnerable because it hosts the headquarters of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet and other American-linked military infrastructure.
The latest attack comes just hours after Iran launched missiles toward Jordan. The Jordanian military said it intercepted three missiles, with no casualties or damage reported.
Iranian forces have repeatedly targeted Bahrain during the current conflict, launching missiles and drones toward military sites, strategic infrastructure, ports, and other facilities. Previous attacks have forced the kingdom to activate air defenses and emergency sirens while residents in Manama and surrounding areas have reported explosions and falling debris.
The latest barrage against Bahrain underscores how rapidly the conflict is spreading beyond its original fronts, drawing additional Middle Eastern states into an increasingly dangerous regional war.
