The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Adham Ibrahim Sha’aban Nasman over the weekend in Gaza City, according to a joint statement from the military and Israel’s internal security agency. Nasman headed the operations department of Hamas’s Gaza City Brigade.
In recent years, Nasman ‘commanded’ the Nukhba force, the statement said. During the October 7 massacre, he ‘commanded’ and directed the raid into Israeli territory from the Gaza City Brigade. Throughout the war, he was involved in holding numerous hostages in Hamas captivity, including Romi Gonen, Emily Damari, Ziv and Gali Berman, Eitan Mor, Matan Angrest, and Omri Miran.
Security officials said Nasman held a series of senior positions in the terror organization, including intelligence officer of the Gaza City Brigade and ‘commander’ of the Shati Battalion. In these roles, he was responsible for executing numerous terror operations against IDF forces and against the State of Israel.
In recent months, Nasman worked to rebuild the capabilities of the Gaza City Brigade, including through training terrorists and advancing the production and distribution of weapons to the brigade’s battalions, the statement said. The IDF and Shin Bet emphasized that his activities were carried out in violation of the ceasefire agreement.
