An IDF spokesman updated today (Sunday) that a short time ago, launches from Iran were detected towards the city of Aqaba in Jordan, adjacent to the territory of the State of Israel. The IDF noted that there may be spillovers into the country as a result of the shooting, and as a result, alerts may be activated in the south of the country. The army instructed that if an alert is received, one should enter protected areas and remain there until further notice.

Shortly after the IDF’s announcement, the sounds of intense explosions were heard in the city of Eilat, but no alerts were activated in the area. The launches were intercepted by the United States Army, and at the same time, interceptors of the Iron Dome system were also activated.
The Eilat municipality also stated that as of this moment, there is no change in the Home Front Command’s instructions, and no alerts are expected in the territory of the country. The municipality added that all forces in the sector are alert and ready, including through ongoing exercises and training.
