Kuwait's military reported engaging "hostile air targets" as explosions were heard in southern Iran, adding to reports of damage at U.S. bases in Qatar and Bahrain from Iranian strikes.

Kuwait’s military reported Tuesday it was engaging “hostile air targets” in the country’s airspace and warned residents about explosion sounds. At the same time, reports emerged of explosions heard on Qeshm Island in southern Iran.

The incidents follow earlier reports of damage to American facilities: satellite imagery documented damage to a logistics warehouse at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, and to command centers at bases in Bahrain and Kuwait, resulting from Iranian attacks.

Iran also reportedly struck ships crossing the Strait of Hormuz on the Omani side. In response, U.S. forces attacked Revolutionary Guard boats on Kish Island in the strait. The military activity continues against the backdrop of the naval blockade the Trump administration imposed on Iran yesterday.
