According to Rizel, a significant and dominant bloc within the haredi community has already cut a major deal with Eisenkot—on terms Netanyahu couldn’t offer without sparking a public firestorm.
Rizel quoted a source who laid out the alleged agreement. The source told him: “We’re getting what we want. That means budgets, that means a draft law, that means everything—everything. Everything Netanyahu could only dream of.” The journalist emphasized the gap between the offers, noting that “what of course if Netanyahu had given the same thing to the haredim, there would be an uproar here.”
According to Rizel, these contacts and agreements are designed to be implemented after the elections, not before, to avoid public noise around the issue. He noted that this raises questions about how Eisenkot will handle the draft law issue, a central concern for the haredi sector.
