Ali Abdollahi, commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters, issued a threat today (Thursday) toward Israel, the United States, and Gulf states, claiming that if any military action is taken against Iran during the funeral ceremonies for Ali Khamenei, it will be met with a harsh response.
1+He warned: “We caution our enemies, particularly the United States, Israel, and their regional and extra-regional partners, to avoid any miscalculation and to consider the severe and regret-inducing responses of the armed forces to any threat or aggression.”
In an unprecedented delay of more than four months since Khamenei was killed in his Tehran bunker by joint Israeli and US strikes at the end of February, the Islamic Republic is preparing for funeral ceremonies expected to begin this coming weekend and conclude with his burial on July 9.
