Yisrael Beiteinu announced today (Monday) that Attorney Edi Mordachayev, deputy mayor of Ramla, is joining the party after serving on the city council representing Gideon Sa’ar’s New Hope party. The party said Mordachayev will support Avigdor Liberman for Prime Minister.
Mordachayev said: “I chose to join Yisrael Beiteinu and support Avigdor Liberman because in the complex reality Israel has found itself in, we need a strong, experienced, determined leader—one who has already seen everything and knows how to make tough decisions when necessary. Liberman has proven leadership, responsibility, and consistency over the years, and I believe he is the right person to lead the State of Israel forward.”
About a week and a half ago, Yisrael Beiteinu announced that Miki Fishman, former manager of the Russian-speaking campaign for Yesh Atid, had joined Yisrael Beiteinu and was backing party chairman Avigdor Liberman as candidate for prime minister.
