The IDF Spokesperson announced that a short time ago, gunfire was detected targeting Israeli forces operating in the security zone in southern Syria. In response, troops returned fire and launched mortar strikes in the area. An attack helicopter also struck an open area to support the ground forces.
No casualties reported on the Israeli side. The IDF said it will continue operating in the area and removing any threat.
