Turkish President and Islamic expansionist zealot Recep Tayyip Erdogan attacked Israel on Sunday and accused it of committing ‘genocide’ in the Gaza Strip, shortly after Israel’s government officially recognized the Armenian genocide, in which the Ottoman Turks systematically mass-murdered 1.5 million women, children, and the elderly after marching them into the Syrian desert, raping, and starving them, as well as destroying centuries-old cultural and historical heritage in the Anatolian region.
The move is expected to further inflame relations with Turkey, which consistently rejects the “characterization” of the World-War I-era extermination of Armenian Christians as genocide, despite historical documentation, eyewitness reports, and at least 32 countries that already recognize the Armenian genocide.
In April 1915, the Ottoman-Turkish government initiated its plan to exterminate the Armenian people by arresting, deporting, and executing hundreds of Armenian intellectuals and community leaders in Constantinople. Having eliminated the community’s leadership, the Ottoman-Turkish government turned to the systematic extermination of the wider population.
Men were conscripted into forced labor battalions and systematically murdered. Women, children, and the elderly were driven from their homes and sent on long death marches into the Syrian desert.
The Israeli government today (Sunday) unanimously approved Foreign Minister Saar’s proposal to recognize the Armenian Genocide. Foreign Minister Gideon Saar at a cabinet meeting: “It’s never too late to do the right thing.” Israel’s official recognition of the Armenian genocide is a decision that marks a shift in longstanding policy.
In an enraged speech that followed immediately, Erdogan claimed that “Israeli aggression has led to the deaths of countless innocent Palestinians,” adding that “they intentionally murdered innocent children.” He went on to say that “a genocide was carried out in Gaza, and I am sure that those responsible will be held accountable one day.” Turkey’s despotic president added that “we cannot overlook this,” claiming that the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) “will always stand with the oppressed.”
Recently, Middle East experts have sounded the alarm that Turkish President Erdoğan harbors ambitions to conquer Jerusalem and enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and is arming himself with strategic weapons and long-range missiles to achieve this goal.
Over the weekend, the Israeli Foreign Ministry called Erdogan “The dictator who persecutes political opponents, imprisons journalists, massacres Kurds, occupies the territory of Cyprus and backs jihadist groups,” adding, “Erdogan will pass. Israel will remain forever.”
