American propagandist Max Blumenthal spread a sickening blood libel against Israel over the weekend on his X account, claiming “Israel is beginning to infiltrate Venezuela under the guise of earthquake aid.”
Israel’s infiltration of Venezuela begins under cover of earthquake aid

The antisemitic tweet racked up thousands of shares and over 400,000 views. But it also drew sharp criticism. One user slammed the claim: “What else are you going to claim, that Israel caused the earthquake so Israel could infiltrate Venezuela because somehow it’s part of Israel?! Like Biden would say, come on man.”
Despite the pushback, plenty of users joined the conspiracy theory and added fuel to the fire. One wrote: “No good deed goes unpunished, thanks for reminding us of that truth.” Another went further, claiming “they were behind the American conquest of Venezuela.”
Israeli aid teams were sent to Venezuela even though the two countries have no diplomatic relations, and Israel has had no active embassy in the country since it closed in 2009. Still, the deployment of the mission is seen as a move that could pave the way for a future thaw in relations between Jerusalem and Caracas.
