Israeli forces killed Akram Mohammed Mahmoud Abu Matzi in southern Gaza earlier this week, the IDF said. Abu Matzi was an operative in Hamas’s military wing who participated in the October 7 massacre and had recently been working to rebuild the organization and advance terror plots against Israeli forces and civilians.
According to an IDF statement, Abu Matzi was among the terrorists who infiltrated Israeli territory on the morning of October 7. In recent months, he had been trying to restore Hamas’s capabilities and promote various terror operations against Israeli forces and civilians.
