Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced today (Wednesday) at the local government conference that Israel will remain in the security zone in southern Lebanon as long as he holds office.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made it clear that Israel will not withdraw from the security zone in southern Lebanon, and claimed that those who demanded a halt to the operation in Rafah would only lead Israel to a “framed victory”: “They wanted us to remain with zero percent of the Gaza Strip. Today we are occupying almost 70% of the Strip and strangling Hamas.”
In his speech, Netanyahu referred to the Iron Swords War, noting that from the beginning he saw the war as a much broader struggle against Iran and its proxies: “I didn’t think we were fighting just Hamas.”
