Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a sharp warning today (Wednesday) against the leader of the Houthi terror organization in Yemen, declaring that Israel will not back down from Lebanon even under American pressure.
“Even if the U.S. demands it—we won’t withdraw from Lebanon,” Katz said. “The account with the Houthis is also open. They will pay a price. If their leader comes into our crosshairs—we will eliminate him.”
The statement signals Israel’s determination to maintain its military presence in Lebanon regardless of international pressure, while simultaneously threatening direct action against Houthi leadership in Yemen.
