Israeli forces struck and destroyed four rocket launch sites overnight Tuesday into Wednesday across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip—positions that terror organizations had built in recent weeks after the ceasefire took effect.
The destroyed launch sites were ready for immediate use and posed a threat to Israeli forces and Israeli civilians. The IDF said forces under Southern Command are deployed across the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue operating to remove any immediate threat.
Forces continue operating in the area. Just two days ago, the IDF killed two senior operatives in the Strip: Ahmed Mounir Halil Zaza, head of engineering for the West Jabaliya Battalion in Gaza City, and Husein Tzafadi, commander of the sniper array in Gaza City, who throughout the war was responsible for all sniper operations against Israeli forces in that sector.
