Lebanese channel Al-Jadeed claims that “political negotiations between Lebanon and Israel will include discussions on exchanging the remains of Ron Arad for Lebanese prisoners.”
On the other hand, Chief US Correspondent Libby Alon reported that the Israeli delegation “is not familiar with the reports.” The possibility of Arad’s return comes after decades in which Israel invested enormous efforts in trying to locate every piece of information or finding regarding his fate.
Ron Arad, an Israeli Air Force navigator, was captured in Lebanon in 1986 after his plane was shot down. His fate remains unknown, and Israel has sought information about him for decades.
