Contradicting to the earlier reports of a breakthrough, Iran’s Tasnim news agency says the question of granting entry permits to inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was never approved by Iran’s negotiating team or by official government authorities. The report stated that “preferably this will never be approved.”
Tasnim added that one of Iran’s most important assets today, serving as a brake against American actions, is its policy of “nuclear ambiguity.” According to the report, Iran deliberately maintains uncertainty about the storage locations of enriched materials. Iran claims the United States is investing all its efforts to crack this ambiguity and obtain intelligence on the sensitive sites—a move Tehran is determined to thwart.
