Two Israeli citizens who were killed in the Malibu area in California have been identified as Yanir Roham of Ramla and Omri Moalem of Ashdod. While Roham was in the U.S. as a tourist, Moalem had been living in Los Angeles in recent years. Both men were in their 40s when they died in what authorities say was a single-vehicle crash that did not involve other cars.

Their funerals are expected to take place in Israel in the coming days after required procedures are completed, as the investigation into the circumstances of the crash continues. ZAKA’s international unit began working with local authorities and the victims’ families immediately after receiving word of the accident, assisting with identification, documentation, and necessary arrangements.
Chaim Weingarten, ZAKA’s chief operating officer, said: “ZAKA’s international unit is working in cooperation with local authorities in the United States and accompanying the families with everything needed. We are assisting with identification procedures and advancing the required processes for further handling.”
