A new poll published by the New York Post reveals that the American public, and particularly President Trump’s base, prefers action to change the regime in Iran over a deal.

While the administration has been pushing the memorandum of understanding, the data shows the American public is focused on one goal—removing the Iranian threat through replacing the regime in Tehran, not through deals that leave the regime in place.
The Numbers Shaking the White House
The findings show the divide on the issue runs deep, but the trend among Republicans is clear. Among MAGA voters, support for regime change in Iran stands at 51%, compared to just 25% who back a diplomatic solution.

That’s a 2-to-1 ratio showing opposition to any deal that would leave the current leadership in Tehran. A similar trend was recorded among Republicans overall, pointing to a significant gap between public opinion and the president’s current policy moves.
