Al-Akhbar, a Lebanese newspaper affiliated with the terrorist organization Hezbollah, reported this morning (Friday) that Iran has secured a final answer from the United States that Lebanon is included in a comprehensive agreement. According to the report, Trump spoke three times with Prime Minister Netanyahu about Lebanon.
According to the Lebanese newspaper, confirmation of ending the state of war includes not just a ceasefire, but a complete halt to all military operations. The agreement also sets a timetable for a rapid Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon, while ensuring a stop to all destruction and scorched-earth operations, as well as the release of Hezbollah operatives detained in Israel.
The breakthrough, Al-Akhbar claims, was achieved Thursday afternoon through contacts held in Doha, Qatar. The contacts were led by Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, with participation from a high-ranking Iranian official and a senior Trump envoy. The Qataris provided a solution regarding Iran’s frozen funds—a formula that would suit both sides.
