According to Trump, US authorities are expected to release a preliminary report today (Tuesday) that will provide further details about the circumstances of the incident. At this stage, the president did not provide any further information regarding the cause of the crash.
Earlier, it was reported that a US military Apache helicopter crashed yesterday (Monday) near the Strait of Hormuz. The two crew members were rescued safely, but it has not yet been clarified whether the crash was caused by a technical failure or by Iranian fire at the aircraft.
