After a day that included Israeli attacks on Beirut and Iran, along with Iranian fire at the north and Samaria, the defense establishment recommends lifting most of the Home Front Command restrictions. According to the indications, starting at 06:00 AM, all restrictions will be lifted throughout the country, except in communities on the confrontation line.
The Home Front Command stated that “until tomorrow, Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 6:00, the current defense policy will remain unchanged. From 6:00 AM until Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 8:00 PM, the defense policy will change and be updated subject to a situation assessment.”
According to the Home Front Command, while all regions of the country will move to a full activity level without restrictions, this is what is expected in the confrontation line guideline area and the communities of Safsofeh, Meron, Or HaGanuz, Bar Yohai, Yesod Hama’aleh, Kasra-Sami’a, Beit Jan and Sde Eliezer – will move to a partial activity level that includes the following guidelines:
Educational activities – can be held in a building or in a place from which a standard protected space can be reached during the defense.
Workplaces – can be held in a building or in a place from which a standard protected space can be reached during the defense.
Gatherings and services – in an open area up to 100 people and in a building up to 400 people.
Earlier today (Monday), Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Katz addressed the temporary campaign against Iran for the first time. “Iran and Hezbollah are weaker than ever, and we are stronger than ever – but our struggle with them is not over yet,” Netanyahu said. “In the last 24 hours, Iran and Hezbollah have tried to impose a new equation on us. And this equation is intolerable and unacceptable in my opinion.”
The Prime Minister added: “They thought they had fired from Lebanese and Iranian territory at Israel – and that we would not act. That did not happen, and it will not happen. Not on my watch.” Netanyahu conveyed a message to Trump: “As I have done for decades, I firmly stand by our right to act against our enemies. That is how we have acted now as well.”
“After Hezbollah fired into Israeli territory, I ordered the IDF to attack terrorist targets in Beirut, and to eliminate Hezbollah operatives there. We did so. After Iran attacked Israel, I instructed the IDF to attack military and economic targets throughout Iran. We did that too.”
The Prime Minister referred to the renewal of the ceasefire and said: “At the moment the fire is contained, because after we prepared the terrorist regime in Tehran, it stopped attacking us. If the terrorist regime in Iran makes the mistake and attacks us again, we will respond forcefully. Israel has a full right to self-defense and we exercise it to the extent necessary.” Defense Minister Israel Katz also addressed the campaign. “The law of Dahieh in Beirut is the same as the law of the northern communities,” he said. According to him, “Any attack on the northern communities will lead to an attack on Dahieh. The IDF will continue to operate in Lebanon against the terrorist organization Hezbollah.” Katz clarified: “We reject Iran’s threats outright. Any Iranian attempt to link Lebanon and Iran and to attack Israel will be met with great force, as happened yesterday.”
