At around 10:34 AM, urgent reports were received at the emergency centers about a shooting campaign carried out by a terrorist squad from a moving vehicle in four different locations: Kochav Yair, Tzur Yitzhak, Tzur Natan and the settlement of Selait.
An MDA spokesman reported that one person has been pronounced dead at the scene, while two were seriously injured and three more moderately injured. IDF forces, police, and Border Guard soldiers deployed throughout the regional division have blocked the roads towards Qalqilya and conducted a targeted manhunt.
While the police tried to identify the direction of escape, the campaign of terror continued to the following points: “At 10:37 AM, a report was received at the MDA 101 hotline in the Yarkon region about a man who was injured at the entrance to Tzur Yitzhak. MDA medics and paramedics are providing medical treatment and referring a 31-year-old man to Linson Hospital in moderate condition, with a penetrating wound. Following Kochav Yair, there was also a report at the entrance to Tzur Yitzhak of a shooting at the guard who was injured in the hand. The guard was slightly injured and was taken to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba.”
MDA paramedic Lior Zilberberg said: “We received reports at MDA’s 101 hotline about a number of injured people at various scenes, in which we were told about wounded people who were shot. At the scene at a gas station near Kochav Yair, we began by providing medical treatment to a man about 50 years old who was seriously injured, and to a man about 30 years old who was in moderate condition. At another scene, in Tzur Yitzhak, we provided medical treatment to a man about 30 years old who was injured in his hand. At another scene, on Highway 5533, we treated another man in critical condition, and another wounded person who was evacuated in serious condition. We continue to provide medical treatment at the various scenes.”
The vehicle has been apprehended and both terrorists have been neutralized by Israeli forces. Israeli authorities cleared for publication the identity of the man killed in the terror attack—a 55-year-old reserve soldier. The victim’s name and additional details were not immediately released pending family notification.
