Border Police operated over the weekend in Jerusalem’s Beit Hanina neighborhood as part of a proactive operation to locate illegal residents. The operation was part of ongoing efforts to maintain security in the area.
During the operation, forces spotted a man hiding inside a building under construction at a construction site. The forces surrounded the building, entered, and conducted thorough searches during which they found seven illegal residents.
Identity checks revealed that all the suspects are residents of the Hebron district, including residents of the town of Yatta, who were staying in Israel without legal permits. The seven suspects were arrested and transferred for further investigation at the Border Police Jerusalem envelope station.
