Israeli officials estimate that the prolonged fighting in Lebanon has created a weapons shortage for Hezbollah, and assess that the group’s remaining arsenal will constrain its ability to continue the campaign in the coming months. Intelligence assessments indicate that about 600 Radwan Force fighters remain in southern Lebanon out of roughly 1,000 at the start of the operation.
Separately, Channel 14 has learned of a significant development that could lead to renewed fighting on the Iran front. Senior Israeli officials told Channel 14: “A return to fighting with Iran is dictated by reality—it’s not a question of if but when.”
Earlier today, IDF forces from the 401st Brigade Combat Team located and destroyed a Hezbollah tunnel approximately 80 meters (roughly 262 feet) long. Forces continue systematically clearing areas south of the forward defense line, with the destruction of the current 80-meter tunnel segment marking another step in the engineering effort to expose and neutralize the tunnel network Hezbollah has spread near the border.
