National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir responded Sunday to the murder of Yehuda Shmuel Sherman in the West Bank, vowing that Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria will continue with greater intensity as a response to what he called the “abhorrent murder.”
“My heart is broken over the murder of Yehuda Shmuel Sherman, who was killed defending the land of Samaria and with devotion to the people of Israel and its land,” Ben-Gvir wrote. He sent “condolences and a big hug to his dear parents, Yehoshua and Sima Sherman, and to the entire bereaved family. Your pain is the pain of all the people of Israel.”
Ben-Gvir also sent a message of support to the community of Alon Moreh and all West Bank residents. “Yehuda Shmuel’s blood was not shed in vain,” he emphasized. “We will continue to hold onto the land, to build and establish ourselves in all its parts, out of faith in the justice of the path and for the future of the people of Israel. May his memory be blessed.”
